Scavenger Hunts

Summer 2013- Summer 2014

One of the things I got involved with for about a year was a photography scavenger hunt through an online photography group. The concept was brilliant and it garnered participation from photographers far and wide. The organizer would release a list of 10 words to the group and then we would have approximately 6 weeks to prepare our photo submissions. For most of my submissions, I took a more literal interpretation of the words, and I never was able to get photos for all 10 words each round. Nonetheless, as a new photographer working to develop my skill set, this project forced me to tap into how I could convey the meaning or essence of a word through a photograph. The level of creativity that people brought to this project was inspiring. The following are my photo submissions through each of the scavenger hunt rounds.
